The country selector field type in GatedContent.com uses geolocation to help web users complete forms faster. It can pass the country's two-digit ISO code or country name on submission. You GatedContent.com account comes with a standard country list which you can find here

From time to time, it may be necessary to make changes to the country selector available to make the list consistent with your receiving platform. This article will show how administrators can remove or rename countries for the country selector.

Go to > Setup > Settings > Forms and you will see the country selector area.

You can use the country selector area to override its values and labels. Labels are what the web user will see when they are filling in the form and values are what will be passed on submission i.e. Label - France, Value - FR.

To remove countries:

Specify the two-character code for any countries in UPPERCASE.

ONE code per line, e.g. to remove the US and France you would enter:

US

FR

To rename countries:
Specify one entry per line in the format CODE|LANGUAGE|Label. Code and language must be UPPERCASE.

For example, if you wanted to rename Germany in both French and German, you would enter:

DE|DE|Frankreich

DE|FR|Allemagne

To submit labels instead of values:

Set the switch to active and the country selector will use the country label as its submission value instead of the default two-character ISO code.
